Live Chat Facility with Hab.La

We often find many web/blog which can show that the owner is online or offline, such as Yahoo! Messenger online status that show the owner’s online status. For visitors who do not know the variety of chatting services in this virtual world is sometimes confused to start a conversation with the owner or customer service on our web/blog, because if the status indicates that we are online and then clicked, the online status is surely referring to a chat application on the computer, and also need to log in to start a conversation, for example on Yahoo! Messenger that I mentioned above. Well, sometimes it makes the visitors of our web/blog were not feeling user-friendly, but in this era, such as accuracy and speed of access is a requirement. Now there can makes things easier and more user-friendly, this facility named Hab.La.

Hab.La is a live chat facility that allows the web/blog visitors to chat directly without having to open a particular application. Here, We only need to stay online, and if there is a visitor starts a conversation, in the IM (instant messaging) in which you are online will show the user who wants to chat with you. Hab.La provides some alternative IM client where you want to use as a service, can be through like GTalk, AIM (AOL Instant Messenger), Jabber, and several other IM clients such as iChat, Adium, Pidgin, or Meebo.

To understanding of the service of Hab.La, follow a few steps below:

2. After Sign-up, do not forget to verify (confirm) your registration in Hab.La by clicking the link sent to the email address you listed on the registration form.

3. Next, please Login with your username and its password.

4. The first step after Logged in is set up the IM client which you want to make a connection to the services of Hab.La, for example, just like the IM client I use is GTalk, and for this article I will only explain of GTalk guidance with Hab.La.

5. Enter the email address of your GTalk account completely, then click "continue".

6. Now please do not forget that you also need to login to your GTalk IM, because Hab.La will add users on the list of your GTalk.

7. If you have already approve the entire list on your GTalk IM, Hab.La users will appear on your GTalk like in the picture below.

8. After setting your IM client which will be used, please click "continue" to get the script code, copy-and-paste it on your web/blog or anywhere which support the javascript code in it. In this case as an example of this in my blog, I use a bit creativity to use my own pop-up facilities in order to make it easier for users of this blog. :)

9. For the less understand how to enter its script code, please read their own tutorials that located exactly at the bottom of the script code supplied by Hab.La.

Perhaps some of you already know that such facilities as provided just like Hab.La, for example, GTalk can also use the facilities with the Google Talk Badge, and Yahoo! Messenger with Yahoo! Messenger Pingbox. However, weaknesses in both the live chat facility is as follows:

1. The bored loading length just because of the process to load the live chat facility is using flash platform which sometimes is heavy for a slow Internet connection.

2. The slow process and sometimes the message does not appear completely.

3. Both can not be customized in-line with our taste.

Maybe you, the readers of this article are still confused with this article. So, if you have some questions, please do ask directly in the comment box below of this article yap. Hopefully useful. :)

Mobile Content with Feed2Mobile

There’s many people want to have their own website or blog in mobile version of the content that We have made, but it’s not that easy to convert the content because the mobile version requires a language to be withdrawn on XML webprogramming, and lot of people don’t know what it is. Now there is a free service that can change all the content that We have from the conventional form to the mobile version, it’s called Feed2Mobile.

Feed2Mobile is a free service provided by Kaywa to convert the content to the existing form of mobile display, so if We accessed from the mobile phone browser, it will display as simple content and convenient to read. Just log on the web address of Feed2Mobile: feed2mobile.kaywa.com, and enter the address of the feed (also known as RSS feed) that has been available in our blog or website. After generate the feed/RSS address, the result is a link from Feed2Mobile which if We accessed the link through mobile phones will generate a mobile version of our blog or web.

To understand what I mean above, just follow the instructions below:

1. Type Feed2Mobile homepage in the address bar: http://feed2mobile.kaywa.com

2. After that, just enter the URL of the feed/RSS of your blog/web and do not forget to enter the captcha code. If You don’t know your blog/web RSS feed link, then please find out the address in advance. In Blogger.com, the common feed URL format is http://yourblogaddress/atom.xml. And in Wordpress.com, the common feed URL for the RSS is http://yourblogaddress/feed

Image. Entry the RSS feed and captcha code.

3. If it has finished converted by Feed2Mobile, then you will get the URL of the mobile version content of your blog/web, usually the URL format is http://feed2mobile.kaywa.com/xxxxxxxxx (yes, the URL of the mobile version has format like: http://feed2mobile. kaywa.com/(figures showing the ID number of your Feed2Mobile content)

4. Well, a mobile version of your web/blog content now can be accessed by your blog readers wherever they are.

Okay, a little tips from me, because You may notify your friends that your web/blog has already go mobile with a URL address of such length that the Feed2Mobile give, then it's good thought to create a subdomain of your web/blog to make the people remember the mobile URL address of yours. For example by creating a subdomain like http://m.yourdomain.com or like http://wap. yourdomain.com which redirected to the URL provided by Feed2Mobile, if you do not have your own domain to make your own subdomain please don’t be too dummy, You need to be more creative to seek the URL of your Feed2Mobile which will be remembered in simple URL to the readers of your web/blog, for example by using the existing facilities in TinyURL.com. Well, try it now. :)

Wanna Know Jakarta's Traffic Flow? Try MacetLagi.com

Oh my, Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia is always has traffic jams any day, for people who are domiciled in Jakarta, traffic jams shows that consumption must be obtained for the population. With the continues of technology, the more we know the number of camera monitors in each important spot is gained, you certainly know about CCTV, if you don't please click here.

Traffic is saturated and we sometimes seek alternative route, albeit more distant (and even into the alley). There is a website that provides information about the traffic flow of a few spots in Jakarta, the site is named MacetLagi.com. This site provides a video recording from a CCTV camera which installed at some point in vulnerable areas to get jammed such as Thamrin-Sudirman-Kuningan. The video is recorded 10 minutes ago from the running time. If you see a video recording of traffic flow in Sarinah-Bunderan Hotel Indonesia at 10, it means you are viewing a video recorded or see the actual situation around at 09.50 West Indonesia Time (WIT). Nevertheless the video is not realtime, but I think the web is very helpful for monitoring the traffic flow in Jakarta. Here is a screenshot of the video recorded.

Image. Sarinah-HI traffic flow video recorded.

I saw the video at 9.20 AM WIT, and the video is recorded 10 minutes from the realtime. Macetlagi.com can also be accessed through your mobile phones at the address: MacetLagi.com/mobile, so it is very good for you who are very mobile and often spend the time in travel. Hopefully useful. :)
